Friends of us are married for... 60 years! Isn't that great? And they are such wonderful people. We could not attend their reception so they arranged for cakes to be delivered to our house! Let's hear a BIG Hurray for Mr&Mrs. Dalebout!
Of course I had to do something special. A simple congratulations card didn't seem enough this time, so I altered a canvas:
I used Basic Grey (Cristmas Magic) and lots of Grungeboard elements. The "60" is cut with a coluzzle mal from Grungeboard paper. Inked with Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and Walnut Stain. Distress Stickles Fired Brick on the "60".In the top left corner you can see the clock-mask from Tim Holtz. On the right the border mask and the handwriting stamp from Tim Holtz.
The flowers in top right corner are white flowers, colored with Fired Brick and Peeld Paint. I love to use white flowers because you can always ink them in the right color for your project.
