Knotsgekke Kaartendagen

I am back. It was a wonderful day, full of sunshine altough I did not see THAT much of the sun! Look what I found:

Ik ben weer terug. het was een prachtige zonnige dag, al heb ik niet veel van de zon gezien! Dit is wat ik vandaag gevonden heb:

Seven Distress inks. Wonderful colors: Dried Marigold, Dusty Concord, Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Scattered Straw, Aged Mahoganey and Frayed Burlap. The Tim Holz stamps (spots and "believe") were on sale: 50% off!! Just as the Adirondack Eggplant. I love sales like that! I bought a little Perfect Medium pad to try. I don't know exactly how I use that one! I also bought a Matte Accents to try. The rest is an assorted collection of stamps. What you can't see on the photo is an supply of paper: black, white, some colors.

Net als de Adirondack Eggplant. Dat kon ik niet laten liggen! Ik kocht een klein doosje Perfect Medium om te proberen. Ik heb geen idee hoe dat precies werkt! Ook een flesje Matte Accents om te proberen. De rest is een assortiment van stempel(tjes) die ik her en der tegenkwam. Wat niet op de foto staat is een voorraad papier: zwart, wit, beetje kleur, een assortiment dus.
Ik ben helemaal moe, blij en gelukkig! Als je me zoekt: ik zit in mijn hobby kamer. Tot morgen!

Hermine's challenge

Hermine has a challenge on her blog. You can read all about it here. This is what I made of it:

Hermine heeft een uitdaging op haar blog. Je kan er hier alles over lezen. Dit is wat ik er van gemaakt heb:
I printed it on white paper and cut out a tag. Then I photoshopped (is that a word??) it and printed it again on a transparency. I cut out the face of the child and glued it at the right spot with a bit of gold glitter under it. I colored the tag a bit with Distress Spiced Marmelade and distressed the edges and colored them black. Some stamps, one embossed with gold finished it.

Ik heb het uitgeprint op wit papier. Toen heb ik de afbeelding door photoshop gehaald en nogmaals uitgeprint op een transparant velletje. Het gezichtje van het kind uitgesneden en op de juiste plaatst geplakt met wat goud glitter eronder. Ik heb de tag een beetje meer kleur gegeven met Distress Spiced Marmelade, de randen distressed en zwart gemaakt. Een paar stempels, waarvan eentje embossed met goud maakten het af.

TMTA: watches

Hello bloggers! Here is my entry for TMTA: watches. I had these wonderful new stamps of watches and one of them was the backside of a pocketwatch. I thought it went great with the backsides of the gentlemen.

Hallo bloggers! Dit is mijn at voor TMTA: klokken. Ik had die nieuwe stempellap met allemaal horloges erop en eentje daarvan was de achterkant van een zakhorloge. Ik dacht dat die wel mooi paste bij de achterkanten van deze heren.
First I sprayed the background (Dimensional Pearls Butterscotch and Stream) I stamped the watch and the men with Versafine black. The words and the gentlemen come from Art Journey stamps.

De achtergrond is gesprayed met Dimensional Pearls Butterscotch en Stream. Het horloge en de mannen met Versafine zwart gestempeld. De woordjes en de mannen komen van een Art Journey stempellap.

Altered Art

Today I'm going to bore you with the very first altered art piece I have ever done. It's a pencil box I had lying around here for ages. First I painted it with a watered down mixture of Dimensional Pearls Stream. ( I love that shine!!) Then I stamped different images on it. The red flowers have a little bit of Stickles Gold on the leaves and the little ones a heart of Dimensional Pearls Butterscotch.
The Grungeboard swirly is embossed with butterscotch powder, sides colored with Distress Fired Brick.
I love that quote of Picasso on the inside: The purpose of Art is washing the daily dust of our souls"! And it seemed appropriate for a pencil box.


Vandaag heb ik mijn allereerste Altered Art om te showen. Het is een potloden doosje dat hier al eeuwen ligt. Ik wist eigenlijk niet precies wat er mee te doen. Eerst heb ik het geverfd met een verdunde mix van Dimensional Pearls Stream. (Geweldig de glans!) Toen wat verschillende stempels er opgezet. De rode bloemetjes hebben een beetje Stickles Goud op de blaadjes en de kleine bloemetjes een hartje van Dimensional Pearls Butterscotch.
De Grungeboard swirly is geëmbossed met Butterscotch poeder, zijkanten gekleurd met Distress Fired Brick.
Ik vind die quote van Picasso aan de binnenkant prachtig: "The purpose of Art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls"
