Tag 2: Santa Claus

Dag twee, een nieuwe dag een nieuwe tag. Vandaag had Tim Holtz een vrij simpel ontwerp, maar het heeft wel weer met die geweldige sfeer impressie die we van hem gewend zijn. Uit de tag van vandaag blijkt dat je niet veel materialen hoeft te hebben om een mooie compositie te maken.

Day two, a new day a new tag. Today Tim Holtz made a fairly simple design, but it does have that wonderful impression we expect from his tags. Today's tag shows us you don't need massive amounts of supplies to make a beautiful composition.

Hier is mijn versie van zijn tag. Kortgeleden had ik een prijs gewonnen en daar bleek de Distress embossing poeder Aged Mahoganey bij te zitten. Daar was ik vandaag dus dubbel blij mee! De kaders linksboven en rechtsonder zijn ermee geëmbossed. Met de inkblending tool de Distress Inkt kleuren Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint en een heel klein beetje Pine Needles aangebracht. De rode muts en jas van de kerstman zijn iets bewerkt met Distress Stickles Fired Brick.

This is my version of his tag. A short while ago I won a prize which contained, among other things, Distress embossing powder Aged Mahoganey. Today I was doubly glad I received that prize. I used it to emboss the frame corners. With the inkblending tool I worked the Distress Ink colors Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint and a little bit of Pine Needles in the background. The red coat and hat of Santa are accented with Distress Stickles Fired Brick.

Ik heb geen metalen hoekjes dus moest ik iets anders verzinnen. De cuttlebug bracht uitkomst met een randje sterretjes. Gekleurd met Distress Inkt Antique Linen en Vintage Photo. Om er een accentje aan te geven is er wat Distress Stickles Antique Linen op gesmeerd waarvan je hier de detailfoto ziet.

I don't have metal corners so I had to come up with something else. The cuttlebug gave me a solution with an edge of stars. I colored it with Distress Ink Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. Some Distress Stickles Antique Linen applied gave it a bit more texture.
