Tag 4: ideology trinket: "Share Thoughts"

Vandaag heeft Tim Holtz er een bijzondere tag van gemaakt. Zijn achtergrond is een collage van allerlei mini kerst stempels. Ik heb de normale grootte stempels gebruikt. Kleur aangebracht met de inkblending tool en Distress inkten Anique Linen, Peeled Paint en Fired Brick. Ik vind het zelf altijd mooi om wat te accentueren met de White gel pen.

Today Tim Holtz made an unusual tag. De background is a collage of the mini Christams stamps. I used the normal size Chistmas stamps. With the inkblending tool I applied Distress ink Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Fired Brick. I always like to accentuate things with the White gel pen.

Omdat ik geen metalen hoekjes heb moest ik wat anders verzinnen voor het dakje van de trinket. Hoe ik dat gedaan heb zie je hieronder met een antal foto's ter verduidelijking. Beetje overbodig misschien maar ik ben best trots op het reultaat!

Because I don't have the metal corners I had to come up with something completely different to fabricate a roof for the trinket. You can see how I did that in the following pictures. A bit overdone perhaps, but I'm quit proud of the results!

STEP 1: Knip een dakje van papier met voldoende overschot om het om het frame heen te kunnen vouwen. Neem een stukje zilverfolie, kleur het met alcohol inkt en verfrommel het.
Cut a roof from cardstock with scissors with enough space to fold it later around the frame. Take some silverfoil, color it with alcohol ink and crumple it.

STEP 2: vouw het zilverpapier om het kartonnen dakje heen.
Fold the silverfoil around the cardstock roof.

STEP 3: plak het dakje op het frame met lijm of dubbelzijdig plakband en breng met een tandenstoker "sneeuw met ijspegels" aan met paintdabber. Ik heb Pearl gebruikt. Het woord op de pin is "thoughts". De quote wordt dan "Share Thoughts" en dat is precies wat ik hier doe, nietwaar?
Glue the roof to the frame. Apply Paint dabber with a toothpick to make snow with icicles. I used Pearl. The word on the pin is "thoughts". The words together make: "Share Thoughts" and that is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish here!

Als je dus de materialen niet hebt dan moet je verder denken! Je wilt niet weten hoeveel "foute dakjes" ik geknipt heb en weggegooid! Maar blijf proberen. Er komt vanzelf iets dat wel past!

If you do not have the materials needed, you need to think outside the box! You really don't want to know how many "faulty roofs" I cut and threw away! But keep trying and something will emerge beneath your hands that will fit!
