Tag 1: key to creative wilderness

Het is weer begonnen! Tim Holtz doet het weer: de twaalf tags voor kerstmis.. Vandaag is de eerste tag op zijn blog te zien en tot 12 december krijgen we elke dag zo een prachtige tag voorgeschoteld met bijbehorende blog candy. Dat is toch fantastisch?! En laten we zijn rechterhand Mario niet vergeten!

It's started! Tim Holtz does it again: Twelve tags of Christmas. Today he posted his first tag and till december 12th we will be getting eye candy (AND blog candy!) every day. Isn't that great?! He is so talented and kind! And lets not forget his right hand Mario!


Dit is mijn versie van tag 1. Ik had wat moeite met het embossen en daarna paint dabben van het vogeltje. Dus toch maar besloten om de sleutel naar voren te halen. Omdat ik geen tags heb hou ik het maar bij ansichtkaart formaat.Ik heb niet alle elementen van Tims tag gebruikt maar wel zoveel mogelijk. Rock candy crackle paint heb ik niet in huis. Mijn structuur komt van Distress inkt (Broken China, Shabby Shutters en beetje Dried Marigold) en water druppels op de achtergrond. De sleutel is geverfd met Paint Dabber Juniper en beetje rock candy stickles.

Dus ook als je niet alle producten hebt die Tim gebruikt kom je toch een heel eind met wat je wel hebt. En daar gaat het om. Gebruik je voorraad en zet die creative Muze aan het werk! Maak je kaarten, tags of scrapboek pagina's met plezier! Tot morgen!

This is my version of tag 1. Because I had some trouble with embossing and paint dabbing of the bird I decided to make the key the focal point. Because I have no tags my versions of the tags will be postcard size. I did not use all elements of Tims tag but I tried to use as many as I could. Because I have no rock candy crackle paint I used Distress ink (Broken China, Shabby Shutteers and a bit of Dried Marigold) en water droplets on the background.

So even if you don't have all the products Tim uses you can go a long way with what you do have! And isn't that what this is all about? Use you stash and get those creative juices flowing. Make tags, cards or scrapbook pages and have fun on your journey! See you tomorrow!
