Tag 12: Love Roses

And here it is, Tag twelve, the last of this year. Tim Holtz saved the best for last! He gave us the tutorial of the Grungeboard Roses! Too bad for me because I had used all my Grungepaper in the last few days.

The whole day I have been thinking about a good replacement for Grungepaper. I even went to a craft store but they did not have any in store. At home I got the brilliant idea to use aquarel paper. Such paper is specifically made to stay firm even when its wet. The results you can see on the picture!
I just love Rock Candy distress stickles, do you love it too? It's such a subtle glimmer, like the roses came fresh from the garden.

Dear visitors, this is the end of the Twelve Tags of Christmas 2009. I do have some projects this year. The dressing of the Christmas table is one of them. So please come again or maybe become a follower. That would be the easy way to get notice of any updates. Thank you all for your kind comments (they are greatly appreciated!) and I wish all of you lots of fun with everything we learned from Tim Holtz!

I don't have a sizzix punch. I cut the shape of the rosepetals by hand. I drew the approximate shape from Tims blog and cut it with scissors.

What a lovely tag! And your roses are gorgeous...so, there is life without grungepaper! LOL!
I've enjoyed this journey, and yes, I will certainly be back.

Wow! Your flowers are absolutely terrific! Better than Tim's, I think! Hopefully, I'll get time tonight to try the grungepaper ones...although I don't have any kind of punch like that. Beautiful work!
