Tag 8: Lantern with Key

Every time you think it can't get any better but then Tim Holtz does another STUNNING tag! I was hoping the lanternpost would be featured on one of the tags. I love that stamp!

Obviously I followed Tims layout but I did a few slight differences. The lantern is embossed in blue ( I don't have black embossing powder) I colored a little bit Adirondack Sunshine Yellow in the lantern as if the light is on. Over that some rock candy stickles to simulate icy glass. The red swirl in the background is a stamp from Inkadinkadoo. And in a box somewhere I found 1 metal corner. On Diana Gibbs' blog I found the tutorial how to tie a bow with a fork. I just can't seem to remember that!

The key is a little grungeboard key colored with Distress Walnut Stain and some rock candy stickles. Because the vellum curled a lot in the top left corner I held it in place with a fastener and tab. That also gave me a place to attach the ballchain with key.
It was a fabulous tag today with lots of little details. Thank you for visiting and see you tomorrow!

Fab tag! I don't have the lamppost, so am racking my brain for something else:)

I love your tag and all the changes you made. I don't have the lamppost stamp, but think I still have it in the grungeboard. Will see.
Have an early app't, then I will get serious with vellum, LOL!

It's wonderful, Linda! I might skip this one....don't have the lantern stamp, which is unique, of course. You've done a great job with this challenge.

I love how you made this your own...lovely as all of your tags.
I think I will be doing more after the 12th, perhaps some from last year.
